Collection: Ceramic Mesh Sanding Discs
Ceramic mesh sanding discs pull dust through the entire face of the disc instead of through a
fixed hole pattern. There are no holes to line up, so one disc fits any 5 inch or 6 inch random
orbital sander regardless of whether the pad is 6 hole, 8 hole, 9 hole or 49 hole. The open weave
sits on a ceramic abrasive grain, so the cut stays fast and the disc lasts.
Why mesh instead of a hole pattern
A standard disc can only extract dust where a hole happens to sit over a port. Mesh extracts
across the whole surface, which keeps the abrasive clear of swarf, cuts loading on resinous timber
and finishes, and puts noticeably less dust in the air. It also removes the guesswork when you own
more than one sander. If you have run into the 6 hole versus 8 hole versus 49 hole problem, mesh
sidesteps it entirely. Compare against our

Wet or dry, and well beyond woodworking
These discs are rated for wet or dry use. That opens up auto body panel work, metal finishing,
drywall, concrete and cured epoxy, all jobs where airflow through the abrasive matters as much as

Choosing a grit
P80 to P120 shapes and levels after heavy stock removal. P150 to P220 is your pre finish range on
solid timber, and P180 or P220 is usually where you stop before a hard wax oil. P320 to P400 handles
sanding between coats and knocking back raised grain. P600 to P800 is for fine finishing, wet
sanding and polishing preparation. Pair the finer grits with our
non scratch finishing pads when you are working
with hard wax oil.
Sizes and packs
Available in 5 inch (125mm) and 6 inch (150mm), in packs of 10 or 25, across ten grits from P80
to P800. Hook and loop backing throughout, so they fit Festool, Mirka, Bosch, DeWalt, Makita and any
other sander running a standard hook and loop pad. Buying by the 25 pack brings the cost per disc
down noticeably against the 10 pack.
