Collection: Purple Ceramic Sandpaper

Purple Ceramic is the disc to reach for when you want the cut to last. The ceramic grain fractures as it works instead of dulling flat, so it keeps biting through hard maple, white oak, cured finishes and body filler long after aluminum oxide has gone smooth. A film backing keeps it flat and tear-resistant, and every disc is rated for wet or dry use.

Grits run P40 through P2000 across 5" (125mm) and 6" (150mm) discs, with 6, 8, 9 and 49-hole patterns to match your sander's dust extraction. The 9-hole and 49-hole patterns fit Festool and Mirka machines. For furniture-grade wood, most work happens between P80 and P220; if you are finishing with hard wax oil, stop at P150 to P180 so the grain stays open enough to absorb the oil.
