Purple Ceramic Sanding Discs 6 Inch (150mm) 6-Hole

Our Purple Ceramic sanding discs deliver a fast, long-lasting cut across wood, auto body, and metal work. Built on a ceramic abrasive grain with a durable film backing, these discs are rated for wet or dry use and feature an 6-hole pattern for dust extraction, keeping your work surface clean and your discs cutting longer. 6" (150mm) diameter with hook-and-loop backing for quick disc changes.

Which Grit Should You Use?

Not sure where to start? Here's a quick breakdown of what each grit range in the P40-P2000 lineup is built for:

P40 - P60: Heavy Stock Removal
The coarsest grits in the lineup. Use these to strip old finishes, remove paint, level uneven or rough surfaces, and take down material fast. Aggressive cut, expect visible scratch marks that finer grits will remove later.

P80 - P120: Shaping & Smoothing
The step after heavy removal. Use these to smooth out the scratches left by coarser grits and refine the shape of your surface before moving to finer finishing work.

P150 - P220: Pre-Finish Sanding
The standard prep stage before stain, paint, primer, or clear coat. This range smooths the surface enough that finish products go on evenly without highlighting scratch marks.

P320 - P400: Fine Finishing & Between-Coat Sanding
Used for scuffing between coats of paint or clear coat, and for fine surface prep where a near-final finish is needed before the last few passes.

P600 - P800: Extra-Fine & Wet Sanding
Common in auto body work for wet sanding clear coats and removing fine imperfections before polishing. Also used on wood for a glass-smooth pre-finish surface.

P1000 - P2000: Polishing & Final Finish
The finest grits in the lineup. Use these for final polishing, removing micro-scratches, and prepping a surface for buffing or a high-gloss finish.
